Free coaching for junior golfers

UK golf course owner Leaderboard Golf is inviting aspiring junior golfers between the ages of 8 and 18 to enjoy complimentary membership and professional training at any of the Leaderboard courses (which are based across the South of England), starting from this month (Feb).

The group hopes the initiative will encourage a greater number of British youngsters to take up the game in advance of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when Golf will become an Olympic sport (for the first time since 1904).

A key part of this unique offering will be group lessons held by PGA professional trainers at the following Leaderboard courses: Chart Hills in Kent, Dale Hill in East Sussex, Sandford Springs in Hampshire, and The Oxfordshire in Thame.

Leaderboard aims to ensure that through these sessions all of their new junior members will receive the encouragement and training necessary to enable them to make the most of their time on the course, with the possibility that some of them may go on to become core members of the junior teams.
