New director of golf at Ufford Park

After serving a 19 year apprenticeship Stuart Robertson has become the Director of Golf at popular Suffolk venue Best Western Ufford Park Hotel, Golf & Spa.

Stuart, previously Head PGA Professional at Ufford Park and Director of the Doctorgolf Academ,  has been involved with the golf club since the hotel opened in 1992.

‘’Initially my role was to give guidance to improving the already designed 18 hole par 71 golf course and running my own golf tuition business.

But over the last 19years I have become more and more involved with the direction of the golf centre and particularly in the redesign of the golf course when the owners expanded the hotel and built the 2 storey driving range 5 years ago.

“My business has also gone from strength to strength and I now employ 2 other assistant professionals who have specialised in the up and coming golfer with the Junior Academy part of the business.

“So when I was approached to get more permanently involved in the business side of the golf centre it felt the right time for me to further develop myself,’’ said Stuart.

“Having recently reached the official retirement age, I wanted to reduce my involvement in the every day decision making process and Stuart I feel confident, can fill that potential void, and take golf at Ufford Park to an even higher level, whilst still retaining and sharing my ambition of continually and significantly increasing converts to the game.”
