Sign up for Four Course Classic charity event

Darren Clarke and Sam Torrance are backing the UK’s biggest charity golf event, challenging keen golfers to tackle four 18 hole golf courses in just one epic day.

Teeing off at sunrise on the longest Friday of the year, 24 June, each team of four will need to play 72 holes in 16 hours covering 15 miles of fairways.

It’s all in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, the UK’s leading charity fighting against muscle-wasting conditions.

Said Clarke: “The Four Course Classic was a great success last year and I hope that even more golfers get involved in 2011. It’s a brilliant opportunity to explore four different courses in the name of charity work.”

Hundreds of prestigious golf courses across the UK have signed up to support the challenge, offering free tee times to participants.

To sign up your team visit www.fourcourseclassic.co.uk and select your chosen courses or call 020 7803 4830.

For just a £25 registration fee, each player will receive their four complimentary tee times, golf kit including balls and a polo shirt, and full fundraising support to help you to raise the minimum sponsorship for £250.

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is the leading UK charity focusing on muscle disease. It has pioneered the search for treatments and cures for over 50 years, and is dedicated to improving the lives of all children and adults affected by muscle disease.

It funds world-class research to find effective treatments and cures; provides free practical and emotional support; campaigns to raise awareness and bring about change and awards grants towards the cost of specialist equipment, such as powered wheelchairs.
