Tune up at the Home of Golf

Traditionally the season gets underway when the golfing world turns its attention to Augusta when the world’s elite professionals gather to play the first major of the year, the US Masters.

The awe-inspiring setting of the pristine course with its manicured fairways and greens, its spectacular display of colourful azaleas and rhododendrons and beautifully blue water hazards at Augusta National Golf Club, has every golfer all over the world digging out dusty clubs from the bottom of the cupboard and heading for the fairways!

And what better way of tuning up for the season than by visiting another awe-inspiring golfing destination, St Andrews, regarded the world over as the Home Of Golf?

The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews has put together a comprehensive package for lovers of links that will quickly blow the cobwebs off any golfer’s short game, revitalise their driving and put them ahead of the pack for that first competitive round of the season in April.

The award-winning team of PGA professionals from Duke’s St Andrews, part of the Old Course Hotel, will take each golfer through the fundamentals of links golf at the Links Trust so you can find fairways with low shots, escape pot bunkers and read the characteristic undulating greens of links just like the pros!

Tuition will take place at the Links Trust Range, located just across the Old Course from the Hotel, which boasts excellent facilities for links practice.

There is also an option for each golfer to have a custom-fit session to make sure their clubs are perfectly suited to their game.
