Dorset G&CC pockets five star award – again!

For the fourth year running the Dorset Golf & Country Club has achieved the highest accolade from Visit Britain – its coveted five star Gold Award.
Visit Britain awarded The Dorset Resort with the Gold Award for its outstanding Luxury Homes, its food, attention to detail, customer service and surroundings, and is one of only a few awarded each year throughout the country.
The resort has now become recognised as one of the must visits in the South of England attracting such guests as Welsh rugby star Justin Tipuric and Kirsty Fletcher, Mrs Galaxy 2013 (pictured) who presented the 5 Star Gold Award Certificates to Dorset G&CC.
The 12 Scandinavian-style houses at the Resort are very different types of buildings not often seen in the English countryside. Made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forests of Finland, these houses create a unique healthy living environment because the wood “breathes” whilst at the same time being a better insulator than brick.
Located in a quiet wooded glade these beautiful houses sleep up to eight people and can be rented throughout the year. Each one has a fully fitted kitchen, luxurious furniture, natural oiled pine floors, walls and ceilings, wood burning stoves, sauna in every home, verandas, trolly sheds – in fact, everything to ensure five star accommodation for all guests.

A lot of work has taken place on the golf course with improved irrigation, additional pathways and numerous cosmetic enhancements which have taken the courses to a new level and ensured they stayed open during the cold and wet spells every winter.
