Cracking deals at historic Kent links

The Lodge at Prince’s on the Kent coast is a fantastic place to stay and play and these two offers (below) provide golfers – and non-golfers for that matter – the ideal opportunity to experience it.

Prince’s is a historic links venue, sitting slap bang nextdoor to Royal St George’s and having famously hosted the Open Championship won by the legendary Gene Sarazen in the early 1930s.

It boasts 27 holes of superb seaside golf with three loops of nine – Dunes, Shore and Himalayas – as well as a smart, spacious clubhouse and excellent practice facilities.

However, the Lodge accommodation is relatively new having opened just before the 2011 Open at Royal St George’s and is proving a major asset for the venue, a spacious bar/lounge and the award-winning The Brasserie restaurant perfectly complementing the quality accommodation.

It features two stunning suites (the Links and Bay) while one upstairs room – a must visit – resembles a mini museum and is dedicated to the club’s glorious past, comprising fascinating items of memorabilia and photographs.

You can take your pick from these two Prince’s breaks:

*Winter Special (Oct 24-Feb 28) – One night’s B&B twin occupancy accommodation, two rounds of golf, range balls and two-course dinner in The Brasserie for £110 per person.

*Summer Special (Sun-Thurs, Apr 1-Oct 31) – Two nights’ B&B twin occupancy accommodation, three rounds, range balls and one three-course dinner in The Brasserie for £270pp.
