De Vere masters apres golf fun and games

With the introduction of several innovative golf-themed bar games, De Vere’s dynamic Après Golf promotion will challenge the archetypical clubhouse offering.

With a roulette-wheel to decide the exclusive food and drink offers also available in the bar from 6.30pm (Sund-Thurs) De Vere is encouraging golfers to join in the fun at any of their 12 UK resorts, including world-class facilities such as The Belfry, The Carrick, Slaley Hall and Oulton Hall.

From Wii Golf, Longest Putt Challenges to Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive competitions, each game is designed to create excitement amongst their guests. Finally, to top off the Après Golf experience, every day, each category winner will automatically be entered into a draw to win tickets to the 2015 US Masters Tournament in Augusta.

“Après Golf is essentially a social golf promotion that will bring a new dimension to the golf club experience. After all, gone are the days when golfers only expect a pot of tea and a toasted tea cake after their round.

“Of course, we still offer that sort of experience and we stand by the quality of our facilities and service, but in order to entice new people into the sport we need to ensure that the golf club continues to be a welcoming and enjoyable place, regardless of your age or golfing ability,” noted Daniel Hodson, De Vere’s Director of Golf.

The Après Golf events and drinks offers, which will last for 20 minutes each, in either the Claret Jug Clubhouse or Victory Pub, depending on the resort, with games especially-tailored to suit the weather, daylight, and resort facility. In-line with The Masters theme, the winner of each game will don a Masters-style green jacket to have their picture framed and hung on the wall of the clubhouse.

De Vere has become renowned for challenging golfing stereotypes, in a bid to grow the game for future generations.

This is most evident with the introduction and subsequent success of the innovative De Vere Club membership in 2010, which changed the way many golf clubs look at their membership offering. The De Vere Club has welcomed over 15,000 new members since its inception.

Après Golf will once again set a new precedent… but this time for clubhouse experiences.
