Mill ride G&CC boosted by new ownership

Mill Ride Golf & Country Club based in Ascot, Berkshire has recently been buoyed by news of a change in ownership.

Previous owners Country Club Group completed the sale of Mill Ride on 2nd January 2013 to the company Jeffrey&Hillary UK Ltd which is controlled by Mr. Jeffrey Chao a majority shareholder in global networking products giant TP-Link.

The Club has been acquired with a long term view of investing in the strong foundations that have been built since its inception.

Jeffrey&Hillary UK Ltd are excited about the potential in Mill Ride and will seek to either instigate the current planning consent or open further discussions with the local planning authority to enhance the Club’s facilities.

Mill Ride will remain a Member focused environment with the incoming owner committed to providing a facility that the Membership can continue to be proud of.

General Manager Robin Greenwood commented on the recent acquisition by stating: “This is an exciting time for the future of Mill Ride and further updates will be forthcoming when the new owner is in a position to elaborate on their plans and aspirations”.

Mill Ride’s 6,885 yard championship Golf course has previously hosted the PGA European Tour and most recently was used by the R&A as a qualifying venue for the 2009 Senior Open Championship.
