Receive clubs carriage refund at top Algarve resort

Portugal’s Monte da Quinta is coming to the aid of golfers again this year after renewing its offer to refund golf bag carriage charges to guests staying at the Algarve resort.

Visitors can earn up to €40 back on the cost of their holidays when they stay at the luxurious venue on production of a valid airline golf baggage receipt.

The discount is available on any golf packages booked at Monte Quinta, situated in the heart of the famous Quinta do Lago estate, throughout 2013 (except July and August) and gives travelling golfers added reason to visit one of Portugal’s most sought-after areas.

Monte da Quinta has a wide selection of enticing three and seven-night stay-and-play packages to suit every golfer’s needs for the 2013 season – with golf on offer at either Vale de Lobo or the three courses on the adjacent Quinta do Lago estate.

To help Vale de Lobo celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, the resort has teamed up with one of the Algarve’s most famous golfing names to offer a range of golf holidays, with a three-night break including three rounds of golf and many other attractive benefits from €408 (£340) approx) per person.

From €136 per person per night, golfers can enjoy three nights in one of Monte da Quinta’s impressive suites and 18 holes of golf on each of Vale de Lobo’s celebrated lay-outs – the Royal and Ocean courses – plus a free round of golf depending on availability.

For those people looking for an extended stay, a seven-night break including four rounds of golf and free transfers to and from the courses can be booked from €728 (£600 approx) per person.

In addition, guests will receive unlimited house wines and beer during happy hour each day, while complimentary use of the resort’s gym, indoor heated pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sensorial shower is also available.

Accommodation is provided in one of Monte da Quinta’s luxury suites and the packages, which include a buffet breakfast each day, can be taken at any point from March 1 until the end of October, excluding June, July and August.

In addition, the offer also includes unlimited house wine and beers in Monte da Quinta’s bar during Happy Hour each day and free use of the gym, indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath.

All prices are based on two people sharing a one-bedroom suite, while golfers seeking a longer stay can book a seven-night break including two rounds of golf with buggy on the North Course and one each on the South and Laranjal – with all the same privileges of the Short Drive package – from only €116 per person per night until March 31 and €132 per person per night for April, May and September.
