The Grove Launches New Caddie Programme

The Grove – recently ranked third in TG’s Top-100 2-Fore!-1 courses – has taken its market-leading guest experience to the next level following the implementation of an innovative new Caddie programme.

Designed to enhance the overall offering and provide a traditional service for the many visiting golfers that flock to the revered UK golf resort, the new initiative will enable guests to take advantage of expertly trained caddies and their invaluable local knowledge.

Commenting on behalf of the 5* resort, Anna Darnell, Director of Golf noted: “We have always strived to go the extra mile for our guests and I firmly believe the introduction of our team of highly trained caddies will give an added dimension to what is already a memorable experience.

“Having looked at some of the other Great British golfing venues, we saw that caddies are a common theme and something we could add to our offering. With the team we have in place and the characters we have assembled I am truly excited to see the programme take shape and become a standout service feature at The Grove.”

The enhanced service will see guests, both corporate and individual, have access to the very best in caddie service, from a selection of expertly trained specialist who will be at hand to guide golfers around the Kyle Phillips designed Championship course.

The scheme is also supported by Nikon, the industry leader in range finding technology, ensuring only the most precise yardages are shared between the caddie and the golfer.

“When you combine our specialists’ passion for the game along with their vast experiences, golfers are going to get more enjoyment out of their games with a caddie,” commented John Glenn, Caddie Master.

“Throw in a few stories from the world of golf, the freedom of having someone carry your bag and looking after you for the day, I think we have a great initiative here and we are already getting great enquiries.”

Conveniently located by the M25 and a mere 30 minutes from Heathrow, The Grove has gained a reputation for its year-long immaculate championship condition, with the most well regarded putting surfaces in the game.

These factors were influential in the course’s hosting of The WGC American Express Championship in 2006 won by Tiger Woods and more recently when being selected as the UK home of the renowned Dave Pelz Scoring Game Schools.

With no members and no rules, The Grove offers a fresh approach to your golf day with one of England’s finest luxury golf courses. The 7,152 yard championship golf course can be played throughout the year without limitations; it’s no surprise it is highly regarded as one of the most welcoming clubs in the UK.
