Have a ball on and off course at brilliant Bowood

It may be early winter but Bowood Hotel & G&CC in Wiltshire are running a red-hot Winter Golf Break special offer.

The winter special is for stays booked and taken before March 31st, 2014, and includes: overnight B&B accommodation, either Bowood Brunch before your round or ham, egg & chips or a Bowood burger following your round, one round of golf pers person, three-course dinner in the Shelburne restaurant, full use of the Spa facilities and complimentary use of the 3hole academy course & driving range (balls charged as extra). All of this from only £130 per person (based on two people sharing a twin or double room).

Bowood (pictured) is a wonderful place to stay and play, being the home of a stunning mature Dave Thomas-designed gently undulatingparkland layout which is in splendid condition all-year round and in fact is a star 2-FORE!-1 venue.

Bowood has a splendid variety of holes though you need to keep out of the trademark Thomas bunkers – they’re enormous and there’s lots of them, specially guarding the approach to the uphill par-5 12th hole’s two-tier green!

Also on site is the 18th century stately home of the Marquis and Marchioness Lansdowne (closed for the winter) and the wonderful Capability Brown landscaped gardens while the historic fascinating city of Bath is a relatively short drive away and well worth checking out.
