Top Dorset venue strikes gold again

The Dorset Golf & Country Club has once again achieved the highest accolade from Visit Britain, winning its five star Gold Award for 2013/14.
Visit Britain awarded The Dorset Resort with the Gold Award for its outstanding Luxury Homes, its food, attention to detail, customer service and surroundings, and is one of only a few awarded each year throughout the country.
This makes the Dorset Resort the only 5 Star Resort Village in the South that is a golf venue – it offers three loops of nine, 27 holes of quality, contrasting golf.
The 12 Fairytale Scandinavian-style houses at the Dorset Resort are made entirely from trees grown in the Nordic forests of Finland. Located in a quiet wooded glade, in a pine tree forest, these beautiful houses sleep up to eight people and can be rented throughout the year.
Each one has a fully fitted kitchen, luxurious furniture, natural oiled pine floors, walls and ceilings, wood burning stoves, sauna in every home, verandas, trolley sheds –in fact, everything to ensure five star accommodation for all guests. The latest addition of the Woodland Cottage, a £500,000 luxury house has fitted in perfectly with the log homes.
