Marriott links up with the Trilby Tour

Marriott Golf UK has signed an exclusive deal to become the Home of the William Hunt Trilby Tour for the next three years.

During the period of the agreement all Trilby Tour’s qualifying events plus its Grand Final will be staged at the 11 Marriott Golf resorts across the UK.

The 2014 Trilby Tour is scheduled to start at Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire on Monday May 12 and then takes in Dalmahoy near Edinburgh (Tuesday May 27), Meon Valley in Southampton (Tuesday June 3), Hollins Hall in West Yorkshire (Tuesday June 17), Worsley Park near Manchester (Tuesday June 24), Breadsall Priory near Derby (Wednesday July 9), Forest of Arden (Tuesday July 22), Sprowston Manor in Norwich (Thursday July 31) and Tudor Park near Maidstone (Thursday August 7) before culminating with the 2014 Grand Final to be hosted by the Marriott St Pierre , (pictured) near Chepstow, South Wales, on Thursday August 21.

“Over the last few years we have hosted several events on the Trilby Tour and we are well aware that is has developed into one of the highlights on the amateur calendar.

“Its format enables amateur golfers the rare opportunity to compete in front of the TV cameras and the coverage it receives will help us to enhance our profile among golfers both at home and abroad,” she added.”
