Macmillan’s Longest Day Challenge to be the best yet

You up for the biggest golfing challenge of your life…72 holes, approx. 20 miles and 300 shots, give or take, all before sun down!

Macmillan Cancer Support has opened registration for the Longest Day Golf Challenge. Regardless of age and ability, all golfers are welcome to play four rounds of golf to raise money for people affected by cancer.

Last year over 800 teams entered and used all their superhero powers, by taking to their local courses and raising £787,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 2013 Longest Day Golf final saw the top four teams battling it out at the luxurious Boavista Golf Resort, Portugal. It took sweat, stamina and a sense of humour to tackle the gruelling competition but, in the end, Macmillan crowned The Flashing Blades (pictured) the ultimate golfing winners.

Once again, the charity is working closely with major supporters Adidas Golf to prise even more golfers onto the course for the golfing marathon in a determined bid to reach their £1million this year. And once again the western Algarve resort of Boavista www.boavistagolf.co.uk) will be hosting the Longest Day Golf finals in October.

You and three mates could well be in with a shot of clinching this fantastic prize and jetting off to Portugal to play in the 2014 final. It’s never been so easy to register. Simply go to www.macmillan.org.uk/longestdaygolf, pick the date of your own golfing marathon and ask friends and family for donations.
