It’s safe to say Padraig Harrington hasn’t enjoyed his best form over the past few months but there were glimpses of his old self at Turnberry and now he’s got a new set of bats to help him recover his form – the new Wilson Staff FG Tour irons.
The new irons are actually inspired by the renowned FG-17 irons which were a hit with tour players in the 1980s but the new version offers greater forgiveness while maintaining the performance that better players will love.
Paddy is said to be a big fan, while American Ricky Barnes almost caused a huge upset when he came close to winning the US Open in June using the new irons.
