New Nike One Vapor Speed golf balls

In the old days you either forked out a lot of money for a ball that Tour players used or you spent considerably less for something that wouldn’t be out of place in a brick wall.

But now, the golf ball industry is a totally different beast and and players have as much choice as a Premiership footballer in a nightclub!

Nike Golf have proven in recent years that they are serious about attacking both ends of the golf ball market and they’ve just launched the Nike One Vapor Speed – a quality three-piece ball that has been designed for average swing speeds.

The cover features optimised aerodynamics and a seamless ionomer blend which helps to increase distance and consistency. The power transfer layer is designed to increase velocity off the clubface by transferring power from the club more efficiently.

But the real clever bit is the core, which has been designed specifically to suit the swing speed of an average club player, unlike tour balls where the core can only be activated by a swing speed of 100mph+.

So, if you swing the club at around 80mph and you’re looking for distance without the rock-hard feel then these could be worth a look.
