What Gear focus: brand new Nike Slingshot irons

The latest and greatest piece of new golf equipment in our What Gear 2010 section in association with online golf is the Nike Slingshot mixed iron set.
Designed as a super-game improver set, the Slingshots are a progressive set featuring hybrids in place of long irons and progressively more compact clubheads as you work through the bag.
Progressive sole width sees mid-irons incorporating a slightly wider sole for a higher launch and thinner soles in the short irons for a crisper strike and more control. The mid-long irons also feature additional offset and a higher MOI for more forgiveness in those longer approach shots.
The Slingshot irons also incorporate Nike’s famed Powerbow design to shift weight further back in the head for a higher launch.
In short, Nike have produced an ultra-forgiving set which is pretty easy on the eye. The best of both worlds!
