New Nike V-Rev wedge

If there’s one positive thing to have come from the new groove rule regulations this year it’s that there are lots of shiny new wedges around for us to drool over – and none more so than the striking Nike V-Rev wedge.

The new V-Rev is the follow up to the popular VR wedges which have excelled in the hands of Tour players including world no1 Tiger Woods.

However, the rules say that Nike can’t continue to manufacture or sell the VR wedges with non-conforming grooves after this year even though it is legal for amateurs to use them until 2024 at the earliest..

That means they’ve come up with the new V-Rev which satisfies all R&A and USGA rules with new grooves as well as featuring a dual sole design to offer good players the versatility they need.

It is also constructed of 8620 carbon steel which is softer than other types of steel for enhanced feel.

There are two finishes available – satin chrome or black satin, which will rust over time for added face friction.

The wedges are priced at £99 each
