Video review: Mizuno MX-700 hybrid

There’s no doubt that the MX-700 range will go down in history as the moment when Mizuno properly entered the woods market.

Until then it would be fair to say their woods didn’t live up to the reputation of their irons but the MX-700 range changed all that with the hot metal face and extremely forgiving heads.

The hybrid in the line-up might be the smaller brother but it doesn’t let the side down and has performed brilliantly in our tests over the past two years.

The line will be phased out in January next year to be replaced by a newer model but as one last farewell to a TG favourite, gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor took the hybrid to the PGA National Academy at the Belfry. You can see how they got on in the video below.
