Bushnell rangefinders sign up Monty

Successful Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie has signed up as an ambassador for Bushnell Outdoor Products – as he bids to clamber his way back up the world rankings.

Monty has set his sights on regaining the form which saw him become a permanent fixture inside the world’s top 50 now that his successful reign as Ryder Cup captain has come to an end.

He intends on using the Bushnell laser rangefinders, which include the Pro1600 Tournament Edition and the Tour V2, to help get his game in shape for the new season.

He said: “With the Ryder Cup over, I am working hard to get my golf game back in shape so that I can get myself back on the leaderboards. The Bushnell laser rangefinders are an invaluable practice aid which I will use in my tournament preparations. They are No.1 in their business and I am very happy they have chosen me as an ambassador for their brand on Tour.”

Guilhem Pezet, Events and Sponsoring Manager of Bushnell Outdoor Products Europe explained, “Colin Montgomerie is one of the highest profile golfers in the world, especially after his recent success as Ryder Cup Captain, but what really excites us is his determination to climb back up the rankings and his genuine belief that our products will play a part in preparing him in the best way possible for the tournaments he plays.”

Research conducted by the Darrell Survey at the 2010 Players Championship reported that the Bushnell family of laser rangefinders were used by 91% of PGA Tour players and their caddies.

Monty will also be the ambassador for Bushnell’s sister brand, Serengeti eyewear.
