Callaway Diablo Octane Black driver vs Lamborghini Gallardo

At Today’s Golfer there are many things that keep us awake at night but thankfully one of those questions has now been answered – who would win in a race between a golf ball and a car.

Callaway teamed up with supercar manufacturers Lamborghini to develop a brand new forged composite and have used this in their new Diablo Octane Black driver.

It is lighter and stronger than Titanium and allows club designers to place even more weight low and deep in the clubhead to aid launch and heighten forgiveness.

The same material is also used in Lamborghini’s Gallardo sports car and what better way to demonstrate the benefits of the forged composite? Have a race, of course.

Callaway asked staff player Stuart Appleby to hit a golf ball down a race track with the Diablo Octane Black at the same time as a Gallardo steamed past the start line and the race was to see who crossed the finishing line 250 yards away first.

Excited? We were. You can see the result in the video below. To find out more about the Diablo Octane Black, click on the link at the bottom of the page.
