New Benross VX Proto irons revealed

Benross’ VX Proto irons are designed to take everything that’s been good about their previous iron models – from better-player to game improver – and blend them in a single set.

The result, say Benross, is a player’s iron with cavity-back performance.

The VX Proto irons are designed with a compact head and narrower top line than game improver irons in order to appeal to the eye of the better player.

The sleek clubhead is designed to hide the undercut cavity, which lowers the centre of gravity and aids forgiveness.

The clubhead also features extreme toe/heel weighting which distributes mass to maximise MOI and give more forgiveness on mis-hits.

Ultra-thin face technology is also said to give a hot feel off the facefor higher ball speed and increased distance.

But the big selling point is free 52° and 56° Benross ZIPit wedges with every set of VX Proto irons.

RRP 5-PW £279 (steel) and £329 (graphite). Optional 4 iron.
