In the bag video with James Morrison

Nike staff player James Morrison has enjoyed a terrific debut year on the European Tour with one title to his name already – and he puts much of this down to the equipment he uses.

The Englishman bagged the 2010 Madeira Islands Open in April and then followed that up with a secon-place finish behind Spaniard Alvaro Quiros in the Open De Espana.

It’s a rapid rise to success for the golfer who turned professional in 2006 – having only taken up the game seriously at 16 years old.

But while Morrison obviously has the talent, he says using the right equipment is key and he places a lot of faith in his Nike gear.

He is one of the few Tour players to use a game-improvement driver in the form of the Nike SQ Machspeed and says he has seen his putting stats improve rapidly after putting the new Nike Method putter in his bag.

TG’s features writer Kit Alexander caught up with Morrison a few months ago at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth to chat through what else he carries in his bag. Watch the video below and click on the links to find out more.
