Padraig Harrington wins with new Wilson FG Tour wedges

Padraig Harrington may have won his first tournament for two years at the weekend but the big story from an equipment point of view is that he did it with the brand new Wilson Staff FG Tour wedges in his bag.

The Irishman is considered one of the best wedge players on the planet and he used the new FG Tour wedges to great effect to post a 20-under-par total in the Johor Open in Malaysia.

His victory ended a two-year exile from the winners podium having won his last event at the USPGA Championship at Oakland Hills.

Harrington had 54° and 60° FG Tour wedges in the bag alongside his Wilson Staff FG Tour irons (5-PW). We’ve got more info on the new wedges in issue 276 of Today’s Golfer magazine, on sale November 4, 2010.

But what we can tell you is that they’re available in 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58° and 60° loft options and priced £79.
