Video review: Ping iN series Wack-E putter

Ping have been producing fantastic putters since 1966 but few have been as eye-catching as the iN Series Wack-E model.

It is one of the largest mallet-headed putters on the market today and can look a little strange at first sight. However, the design is not by accident – it has been created to spread weight around the perimeter of the clubhead to increase the MOI (resistance to twisting) and make it more forgiving.

It also features a nickel insert to give it a pleasing “ping” off the clubface.

TG’s gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor took the appropriately named Wack-E out to the practice putting green at Oundle GC. To find out how they got on watch the video below.
