Video review: Snake Eyes Tour Platinum putter

If putting is all about confidence in the way a putter looks and feels then the Snake Eyes Tour Platinum putter must be one of the best around.

While Snake Eyes might not be the first name to spring to mind when it comes to putters, the traditional anser-style shape is extremely easy on the eye and the chrome finish is appealing.

But it is in the feel stakes where the Tour Platinum 7801 putter comes into its own with a milled stainless steel head and unique milling pattern on the face.

The face sees a “scale” patter milled into it. The width of each scale is 4mm, compared to the average ball dimple of 5mm and this design ensures the scale catches the balls surface regardless of where the contact point occurs on the ball. This gives a quicker over-spin and less bouncing and skidding resulting in a truer roll and more holed putts.

To test out the theory TG’s gear team took the Tour Platinum onto the practice putting green to see how they got on. Hear what they thought in the video below.
