Charley Hoffman’s winning Deutsche Bank clubs

Titleist staff player Charley Hoffman produced an amazing run of back-nine birdies to win the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston, beating Geoff Ogilvy, Luke Donald and Jason Day back into a tie for second.

The American shot a stunning 29 on the back nine for which his competitors had no answer and he eventually went on to win by five strokes.

His final-round 62 saw him finish on 22-under par and equal the tournament record. His victory also saw a second Tour win for the prototype Titleist 910 driver, which is currently being seeded on Tour with a view to a consumer launch later in the year.

Ross Fisher was victorious with the driver at the 3 Irish Open in May while four players who finished in the top five and ties in Boston also used the prototype 910, including Adam Scott and Ogilvy.

Hoffman used mainly Titleist clubs for his win. In his bag was:

DRIVER: prototype Titleist 910 (9.5°)
FAIRWAY: Callaway X Hot (15°)
HYBRID: Adams Idea Tour prototype (18°)
IRONS: Titleist MB irons (3-9)
WEDGES: Titleist Vokey Design Spin Milled (48, 56, 60)
PUTTER: Scotty Cameron Red X putter
BALL: Titleist ProV1
