Video review: TaylorMade Rossa Monza Spider Vicino putter

TaylorMade broke the mould with their original Rossa Monza Spider putter and the performance benefits were there for all to see.

However, some players weren’t keen on the bigger headshape and outlandish “basketball court” alignment system. To fix the size issue TaylorMade released the Itsy Bitsy, which was essentially a smaller version but it was only with the launch of the Rossa Monza Spider Vicino that they managed to get the performance benefits in a pleasing aesthetic package as well.

The Vicino is designed to sit in between the Itsy Bitsy and the original Spider in terms of size but the simple single-line alignment system is more pleasing on the eye and the perimeter weighting and lightweight body means the performance benefits are all still there.

As a result, the Vicino won a gold award in the Today’s Golfer putters test for 2010 while TG’s gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor also took it onto the practice greens for a try. You can see how they got on in the video below.
