Lee Westwood in the bag: Thailand Golf Championship

Lee Westwood won for the second time in two weeks with victory at the Thailand Golf Championship and hailed it as probably the best golf he has played in his career.

The Englishman jumped back up to No2 in the world rankings with the win, which kicked off with a sensational 12-under-par 60 on the opening day. He followed that up with a 64 to sit 20-under at the halfway stage, 11 shots clear of Charl Schwartzel in second place.

Although he didn’t quite hit the highs of the opening two rounds Westwood still picked up a further two shots in tricky conditions over the weekend and no-one could get even remotely close to the 22-under total he posted, which was good enough to take the title by seven shots.

It was a phenomenal end to the year for Westwood, who will be hoping to regain the world No1 spot and bag a Major in 2012.

You can see what he had in his bag below but we’ve also heard he’s been extensively testing out some new Ping equipment for 2012 so keep an eye out for changes next year.
