When TaylorMade’s Tour pro’s first met Rocketballz

In the Today’s Golfer office we can all remember our reaction when TaylorMade first told us about the name of their new Rocketballz wood range.
As you might expect, it raised more than a few eyebrows. Now, it’s not all that often we get a look behind the scenes at the first time Tour pros get their hands on new clubs but such was the reaction to Rocketballz that TaylorMade decided to send us the video below.
Watch the video to see what the likes of Justin Rose, Jason Day, Sergio Garcia, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer and Retief Goosen had to say about the name. We suspect it won’t be all that different to how you reacted.
But, of course, it is just a name and the subsequent feedback from the players has been superb. We’ll be bringing you more feedback on the Rocketballz range, in particular the 3-wood which is causing such a stir, in issue 292 of Today’s Golfer magazine, on sale January 26, 2012.
