Luke Donald in the bag: World Golf Matchplay

Luke Donald cemented his position as arguably the best short-game player in the world with a terrific display at the Accenture World Matchplay in Arizona, beating Martin Kaymer in the final.

The Mizuno man ended the German’s hopes on the 16th with a 3&2 victory, meaning none of Donald’s matches over the week reached the 18th and he was never behind at any stage of the competition.

The win was a bittersweet one for TaylorMade as it represented the first Tour victory for the new R11 driver (Donald uses the driver without a contract), but it meant TaylorMade staff player and new world No1 Martin Kaymer missed out.

Also in Donald’s bag was:

DRIVER: TaylorMade R11 (9.5°)
FAIRWAY: TaylorMade R9 (13°)
HYBRID: Mizuno Hi Fli CLK (17°)
IRONS: Mizuno MP-62 (3-PW)
WEDGES: Mizuno MP T-11 (54°, 60°)
PUTTER: Odyssey White Hot XG #7
BALL: Titleist Pro V1x
