Mizuno MP-63 irons: first-hit video review

Mizuno MP-63 irons are the Japanese forging experts’ latest offering for low handicap golfers and Tour players.

The MP-63s are the update to the MP-62, Mizuno’s most successful Tour iron to date. They feature a diamond back cavity for a touch of forgiveness but also to provide better feel through what Mizuno call Harmonic Impact Technology (HIT), which is essentially how the club vibrates at impact.

Last week be brought you a video of Mizuno staff player Luke Donald testing the MP-63 irons but not all of us are blessed with the ball-striking talents of the world’s 10th best player – at the time of writing.

Therefore TG’s gear team Jonathan Greathead and David Connor – two players not even in the top 10 of their own clubs – took the MP-63 irons to Oundle GC in Northamptonshire to test them out. You can see their first impressions in the video below.
