US Open champion Graeme McDowell has signed a multi-year agreement to wear ECCO shoes.
The Portrush-native will compete in the newly-launched Comfort Classic shoes, and he will also showcase the brand logo on his headwear.
“I had a lot of success last year and that led to some great new opportunities in terms of my equipment,” said the 31-year-old.
“When it came to footwear, partnering with ECCO was the best choice. The leather quality is quite amazing and the comfort is way beyond anything I’ve experienced before.”
Jesper Thuen, Sponsor and Event Manager at ECCO Golf, was delighted that the Northern Irishman had taken such a keen interest in the brand.
“It says something about what Tour players think of our products when someone like Graeme, who is coming off such an incredible season, decides to make a switch to ECCO. His style and manner are a perfect fit with our brand,” commented Thuen.
McDowell enjoyed his best year as a professional in 2010, winning the US Open at Pebble Beach, as well as holing the winning putt in Europe’s Ryder Cup triumph.
