Donald trusts Mizuno on his way to victory at Wentworth

Luke Donald continued his fine season with victory at the PGA Championship at Wentworth, and used Mizuno’s MP62 irons on his way to the win.

The Englishman saw off the challenge of fellow-countryman Lee Westwood in a play-off, with Chicago-based Donald winning on the first additional hole.

As well as the Mizuno irons, Donald also used the Japanese brand’s new MP-T11 wedges and a CLK hybrid.

Donald and Westwood both finished on six-under-par at the re-modelled Virginia Water venue, but Donald claimed victory after his compatriot found water when the pair tackled the 18th for a second time on Sunday.

Donald was also using TaylorMade’s R11 driver at the European Tour’s flagship event, where victory saw him rise to number one in the Official World Rankings.
