Nike VR Pro Limited Edition Forged Driver unveiled

Nike have launched a special new limited edition VR Pro Forged driver for 2012 aimed at skilled golfers looking for feel and workability.

The driver features a 430cc pear-shaped head to suit the eye of the better player and Nike staff players Paul Casey and Anthony Kim have already put it into play.

It also features a four-piece forged construction where the face, crown, sole and hosel have all been forged before being combined to make up the 430cc head, which Nike say enhances feel and allows them to more accurately place the centre of gravity where they want it.

Nike have also introduced their new NexCor face in the VR Pro Limited Edition driver, which features a unique infinity face design that Nike say creates a bridge an ultra-thin, ultra-hot face and unmatched ball speed.

The sole of the driver features Nike’s variable compression channel technology, as seen in previous incarnations of VR Pro drivers, which is also designed to compress where the ball is struck for faster balls speeds across more of the face.

The stock shaft in the driver is the new MRC Diamana ‘Ahina which incorporates Mitsubishi Rayon’s signature Multi-Dimensional Interlay technology (MDI) to deliver a stiffer mid and tip section than its predecessor.
