MD Golf unveils new Superstrong ST2 woods

MD Golf’s Superstrong franchise has been around for several years now, with each update improving on the previous offering and the latest ST2 incarnation promises to do it yet again.
The new driver will certainly appeal to the traditionalist who likes a classic headshape that also looks forgiving at address.
The PVD finish makes the club aesthetically-superb, but enhancements in technology mean the centre of gravity is lower which offers a higher, more powerful ball flight.
The 460cc head has also been designed very much with improved aerodynamics in mind, with the ST2 producing less drag for greater swing speeds that gives way to greater distance off the tee.
As for the fairway wood, we think this is one of the most versatile clubs MD has ever produced – it sits very well at address on the fairway, and the compact nature of it will also appeal to the better player. It’s also highly-playable from the rough, and solid off the tee for shots that require pin-point accuracy.
As you’d expect from MD Golf products, the new ST2 driver and fairway wood are considerably more affordable than some of their more heavy-hitting competitors. The driver will retail at £109.99 and the fairway wood at £79.99.
