John Letters Master Model Blades return

John Letters have updated their renowned Master Model blade for the 21st century – almost 60 years after the originals were used to win the Open Championship.

Fred Daly famously used the original model to win the 1947 Open and they were widely used by Tour pros throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Now John Letters have revamped them for 2012 with each head individually forged from 1020 carbon steel chosen by the John Letters design team for its high carbon content, for a super-soft feel and exacting feedback.

A thin top line allied with a small sole, ensures the Master Model blades are pleasing to the eye of the better player while still offering a level of forgiveness without sacrificing workability.

Each individually hand-crafted iron is assembled in the UK at John Letters new workshop in St Andrews.
