New driver colour options with Callaway’s uDesign feature

Callaway have launched a revolutionary new system which allows golfers to personalise their driver from thousands of different combinations.

The new uDesign feature is the first time customisation has been available on such a scale and means customers buying a Callaway Razr Fit driver can choose from a number of different colour options as well as a vartiety of grip and shaft options.

The online tool was launched this month in the UK and costs an additional £40 on top of the price of the driver.

Callaway staff players Phil Mickelson and Alvaro Quiros have already been through the system with San Diego resident Mickelson choosing a striking blue and gold design to mirror the colours of his local American Football team, the Chargers.

Spaniard Quiros insists he could even start to match his driver to his outfits on the course.

“Golf is already the most personalised sport there is in terms of custom equipment options, and our new udesign by Callaway platform brings personalisation to a new and exciting place,” says Jeff Colton, SVP Global Brand and Product, Callaway Golf.

“The opportunity to design your very own driver in the colours of your favourite team or whatever you happen to feel looks best has never been offered on a mass scale.  Our research shows that this level of personalisation and customisation is what golfers want, and we’re excited to be the first Brand in golf to offer it.”
