VIDEO: Marty Jertson talks about the Ping G30 fairway wood

The Ping G30 fairway wood is the first G-series fairway to feature adjustable loft via the hosel, where you can add or subtract 0.6° or a full 1° from the loft of the head.

Faster ball speeds and greater distance come from a larger face made of a uniform-thickness Carpenter 475 steel, creating a thin but strong hitting surface that maximises face deflection. The same crown turbulators seen on the driver create a captured appearance with the ball, and help with aim and alignment to inspire confidence.

To find out more about the fairway wood design, we caught up with Ping’s chief club designer Marty Jertson during the official launch in St. Leon-rot, Germany – watch the video to find out what Marty had to say.
