Callaway reveals Mack Daddy 2 Tour Grind wedges

Callaway’s new version of its Mack Daddy 2 wedges feature a new shallow C-Grind sole, Tour-validated head shape and aggressive groove pattern for maximum control.

Crafted wedge guru by Roger Cleveland and inspired by Callaway’s staffers like Phil Mickelson, who used Mack Daddy 2 Wedges to win last year’s Open Championship at Muirfield, the new Tour Grind Wedges offer increased shot precision, greater spin and pinpoint control.

The shallow C–Grind sole gives additional relief in the heel and toe, so golfers can lay the face open while effectively reducing the bounce angle. This allows for the leading edge to get under the ball with proper sole contact for maximum spin and control.

The head shape boasts a straighter leading edge, which creates better turf interaction through the ground and the higher toe is a favourite for Tour players.

Roger Cleveland, Callaway Golf’s Chief Club Designer, said: “Blending one of the most popular head shapes Callaway has ever created with Mack Daddy’s aggressive groove pattern (39% larger, generating 25% more spin out of the rough) and adding increased face roughness, has added a new element to the Mack Daddy 2 line.”

The new wedge comes with Acid Yellow paint detailing and a simple ‘R Design’ stamp as well as two finish options – Soft Chrome finish produces a rich, muted look that reduces glare, while the Slate finish is pre-oxidized to give a Tour preferred, distinctive, non-glare look that ages over time.

Details: Available from July 18th in 52°, 54°, 56°, 58° and 60°. RRP £99 RH and LH (54° in right-hand only).
