Prototype Callaway Driver wins in Scotland

Callaway Staff Professional Kiradech Aphibarnrat joined the winners’ circle for the second time this season after adding a soon-to-be-released Prototype Driver to his armoury.
Playing a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey equipment, the 26-year-old won the inaugural Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play at Murcar Links GC, Scotland, making it two European Tour titles in a row for Callaway Staff Professionals following Englishman Danny Willett’s win in Switzerland last week.
Carding six birdies en route to a one hole victory, highlights of the Thai’s final round included a 380 yard drive onto the 11th green to set-up a two-putt birdie to win the hole and go two up in the match.
Aphibarnrat said: “This week my driver helped me a lot. I was hitting it miles down each fairway and if you asked me to go and play another nine holes now I’d hit driver every time! I also putted very well and sank a lot of important putts – especially the putt to win which was very short but it was great to see it hit the middle of the hole.”
