Nike reveal new Vapor Fly Fairway and Hybrid

The new Vapor Fly range isn’t just limited to drivers, there’s also a range of fairways and hybrids to boot.

Both have been streamlined to have a clean, simple look at address for 2016. The heads are familiar shapes because Nike say its what their athletes like. But a 30% lighter crown and deeper compression channel help improve impact efficiency.

Nike Fairway

If you’ve tried Nike fairways and hybrids before and have been put off by the large Flex Loft hosel you’ll be delighted to hear the hosel has shrunk by 15% too. Five fairway lofts (13deg, 15deg, 17deg, 19deg, 21deg) sit beautifully alongside 4 hybrids (17deg, 20deg, 23deg, 26deg) to give plenty of options and with the ability to tune loft by up to +/-1deg on every head its possible to create the perfect setup for any golfer.

Nike Hybrid

The hybrids have been shaped with direct input from Franceso Molinari who is a big hybrid fan, and Nike say they’ve been designed to be true iron replacements. Nike’s engineers have looked at the hosel transitions, created straighter leading edges and refined the sole bounce to give a smoother transition to a set of irons.

These will appear in golf shops in Feb 2016 with prices from £179 (fairway) and £149 (hybrids).
