Fairway Wood: Titleist 913F
It’s my favourite club. I just love the versatility and that makes me feel very confident. High, low, draw, fade, everything is possible with this. The head is quite small and compact which helps so I have a lot of fun with this club. It has about 13.5º of loft, so it’s quite strong, and the SureFit setting is B-1 which helps keep the face slightly open at address.

Irons: Titleist AP2
I’ve got the AP2 in the 3-iron because it’s much more forgiving.
Titleist MB Forged
I have the blade shape for the rest because you can’t beat the feel and distance consistency. I don’t change clubs much – my 9-iron’s grooves are almost worn off and the 8-iron has a dented sole. They all have Project X steel shafts.

Driver: Titleist 915D3
I like the driver’s head shape and I particularly like the way it enables me to shape the ball if I need to. There can’t be too much wrong with it because I hit lots of fairways and I’m naturally quite long. I’ve got the loft at 9.75º and the SureFit setting is C-1. The shaft is Project X Graphite Tour issue 7.

Wedges: Titleist SM5 52º, 58º
I carry two specialist wedges, one at 52º and the other 58º. The bounce is slightly different on each, six degrees in the more lofted one and eight in the other. Sometimes on hard fairways I feel that I could do with less in the lob wedge, but that’s something I’ll test this winter.
Putter: Odyssey White Hot
Pro V line
I now use a SuperStroke grip which I changed to just before China. The size of it just keeps your hands solid through the stroke.

Utility Wood: Titleist 915H
To me it looks very similar to the 3-wood and just gives me more options at the top of the set. It’s easy to play from the tee or the fairway and can be very useful from a poor lie in the fringe rough.
