Nike reveal Counter Flex putters

Counter Balanced putters have grown massively in popularity. Wind the clock back just a couple of years and there was less than a handful available. That’s now changed and top heavy flatsticks are breeding quickly which has lead Nike to enter the market with their new Counter Flex models.

Never wanting to be a follower Nike have developed their own Counter Balancing solution. Its not just a longer length shaft with weight at the top either. But rather an ingenious adjustable weight inside the shaft which means you can tailor feel to your own game.

A 75g weight under the grip slides along a 15” track which allows you to position weight lower or higher depending on your personal preference. For improved stability and maximum counter balancing benefit weight needs to be positioned at the top. However Nike say 70% of golfers won’t play the putter in this set up as research shows more golfers prefer the additional weight lower under the hands and grip, hence why they’ve invented the track system.

Expect to see the new Counter Flex models available in Nike’s current Method Converge and Matter heads from the end of November, prices start from £140.
