Glenmuir hope online orders can keep your golf pro in business

We’re all missing golf, but spare a thought for your club’s golf professional. With golf clubs closed in the majority of countries across the world, golf pros have seen their business and income disappear overnight.

Unable to give lessons or sell products in the pro shop, some pros may struggle to stay afloat.

Scottish golf clothing brand Glenmuir have come up with a novel solution in the shape of an online Lockdown Vendor platform. The platform, which is the first of its kind, provides club members online access to purchase product that the golf pro or retailer has in stock.

The retailer can set up the online ordering facility in five minutes and begin taking orders.

With no known date for when golf clubs will reopen, innovative systems like this could be vital to helping golf pros weather the storm.

“One of Glenmuir’s core values is responsibility, and now more than ever, we have a responsibility to support our beloved customers,” says Mikhel Ruia, Managing Director of Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland. “We are an independent family business and appreciate the difficulties facing small and medium-sized businesses. This Lockdown Vendor platform has been innovated to help alleviate some pressure on our customers and forms part of our strategy to be the easiest and most efficient company to deal with in the golf industry.”
