For nearly half a century, he’s wowed Hollywood and the world with his prolific directing, sublime writing and acting talent. But this New Year’s Eve, Woody Allen and his band will be setting their sights on winning over guests by playing New Orleans jazz at the opening of the InterContinental La Torre Golf Resort in Murcia.
The event promises to be one of the most exciting launch parties of the decade, with Allen’s clarinet – rather than his movie back catalogue – will be his weapon of mass seduction. His band will also be there to sprinkle their stardust on this special New Year’s Eve celebration.
For so many film-goers, Woody Allen is one of the greatest writer/directors of all time. Jazz enthusiasts and those in the know recognise that he’s also a supremely accomplished musician.
The event has been crafted by the InterContinental as the ultimate New Year escape, available to all, not just to celebs and VIPs to boost column inches.
This is just one of the many highlights to mark the opening of the five star InterContinental La Torre Golf Resort and during this special evening, guests will be treated to a smorgasbord of entertainment options.
While Woody Allen’s band play New Orleans jazz, guests will also be treated to a gala dinner executed by one of Europe’s top chefs, fine wines and champagnes and more besides.
The hotel features a total of 122 luxury rooms, nine executive suites, plus one superior luxury version and a royal suite. Each of them boasts roof terraces or balconies and the very latest technology.
Those planning to stay at the hotel after the evening’s official entertainment draws to a close will be able to retreat to their luxurious sleeping quarters for a blissful sleep...or carry on the party with Woody no doubt in one of the many bars on the resort.
While a hearty New Year’s Day breakfast will be available to all, guests experiencing any ‘morning after’ pains can put themselves into the spa’s capable, rejuvenating hands. While several of the spa therapies treat and help alleviate hangover symptoms, the spa also features sauna and steam room facilities.
Tickets for the evening are priced at €500 which includes the event, dinner and all wines and champagnes throughout plus a full breakfast at 5am. A two day stay at the hotel including the event costs €600 per person in one of the resort’s apartments or €750 pp in the hotel.
A VIP package is also available at €1500 per person which includes the event package, a table close to the stage, an upgraded room in the hotel for two nights and spa treatments. Reservations are now open on 0034 968 041 840.
