Make your right knee kiss the left

“Well dynamite, sort a couple of small faults out and you could be exploding it miles (sorry)!

“You have a tendancy to adopt a rather ‘strong’ right hand position with the hand positioned too much under the handle.

“If you interlock, be careful not to jam the fingers too much into each other. Aim to hold the club more in the fingers of the right hand (won’t feel secure initially).

“Your backswing is very tidy but your downswing is shoulder dominant. Visualise skimming a stone with your right hand, you’d hold it in the index finger and thumb and work your right shoulder down and under as your right knee moves across to meet your left.

“This motion is what you should be feeling more through the ball, aim to finish more balanced, right shoe up onto your toe (it’s not at the moment) and right knee ‘kissing’ the left knee.

“Learn this and your shots will be much more consistent and accurate. Good luck!”
