Golf undergoes global revolution

Join Colin Montgomerie and Paul Casey LIVE from the Celtic Manor Resort to find out more about a completely new form of the game.

The sport of golf is about to undergo a revolution which will change the sport in the way that Twenty20 has for cricket.

PowerPlay Golf (PPG) is a shorter, faster format of the game where players face the choice of two pins to target on every hole instead of the usual one. The entire televised tournament is played over just nine-holes and instead of waiting four days to find a tournament winner, spectators and armchair viewers alike will see a winner in 3 hours.

And former Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie will unveil a new televised global professional golf tour where the world’s top male and female players will compete against each other at the highest level for the first time.

Also to be revealed are the date, field and location for the opening event, details of a major global sponsorship deal, and the strategy to implement PowerPlay Golf at courses across the world. Colin and world number seven Paul Casey are the first star players to sign up to play in one or more of the innovative PowerPlay Golf professional  events that will be beamed live across the globe in 2011.

This is your chance to watch the press conference announcing the launch of this revolutionary new form of the game live at 2pm followed by a live webTV show at 4pm, where you can send in your questions.
