American Golf pitch in to aid Macmillan’s big drive

American Golf stores across the country are pitching in to support Macmillan’s new fundraising event, the Big Golf Drive.

American Golf’s 92 stores will be running in-store competitions for their customers and the winner of each store will be rewarded with an American Golf gift card, with all competition donations going to Macmillan.

Competitions will run on Friday 24th August and will vary between stores, from ‘beat the store manager’ or ‘beat the in-store PGA Pro,’ to longest drive or nearest the pin on their in-store simulators, with some continuing over the bank holiday weekend. To take part, customers will be asked to make a small donation to Macmillan.

American Golf is also helping Macmillan to promote their Big Golf Drive tee time promotion, in conjunction with teeofftimes.co.uk.

Golfers can get involved by simply playing a round with their pals this Friday 24th August. Participating clubs can be found by visiting www.teeofftimes.co.uk/biggolfdrive.

With the number of people living with cancer expected to double to four million by 2030, Macmillan’s services are required at an ever-increasing rate.

With the support of golfers across the UK it is hoped that the Big Golf Drive will raise £50,000 to help Macmillan provide vital practical, emotional, medical and financial support to people affected by cancer and their families.
