Meet The New Look Golf World

After decades as one of Britain’s top golf magazines, Golf World has undergone a stunning re-design this month, to bring it bang up to date right in time for The Open.

The fresh new look includes a new front section, titled ‘Agenda’, a ‘My Game’ section with tour pro instruction and a re-designed Equipment section.

There is also a new instruction section, called ‘The Range’, which has been revamped to cater for every level of golfer, from swing tips and tour pro lessons, to advice on the mental side of the game and how to stay in shape.

You’ll also find an improved Travel and Courses section, which includes layouts from the historical and classical, to the latest wonders springing up around the globe.

As Commissioning Editor Jock Howard tells us: “These are exciting times for Golf World. With a new Editor – Nick Wright – on board, this month’s ‘Open issue’ has a great new look to it.

“A bit like the golf swing, producing golf magazines is all about seeking perfection. We are always looking at ways of improving our magazine, and we believe we now have the most comprehensive package you can buy, with the best writing and the best photography in the game.

“This issue is a Special Collector’s issue, with exclusive interviews with all six living Muirfield champions. On the cover is Nick Faldo (who won twice at Muirfield in 1987 and 1992) showing off the famous Pringle sweater he won his first Claret Jug in. “And it still fits,” he tells us.

“Nowhere else will you find such a definitive 77-page guide to this year’s Open Championship, which takes place at Muirfield from Thursday 18th July – Sunday 22nd.

What’s more, we also have a new improvement section called ‘The Range’ guaranteed to make you play better! Enjoy!”
